We are looking for English/Math/ENL/SAT/ACT/Chinese/G&T (Gifted and Talented) teachers for the following time period:
Weekdays 2:30-6:00PM and Saturdays 9:00 — 4:00PM OR SUMMER SCHOOL (July–Aug)
Have one or more years of experience in working with children. (except SAT/ACT position)
High energy, motivation, and skills needed to work with children (except SAT/ACT position)
Experience in developing lesson plans, educational materials, and classroom management.
Have college or equivalent education.
Dedicated and creative.
Willing to work collaboratively with others and accept guidance and supervision.
Previous teaching, tutoring, coaching or leadership experiences a plus.
For SAT/ACT position, 90th percentile SAT or ACT score, or 85th percentile GRE or GMAT scores preferred.
Develop and implement lessons that are interactive and engaging to meet the diverse learners and promote a positive learning process.
Employ a variety of strategies that are based on the needs of students to motivate them in learning and helping them meet the learning goals at each level.
Monitor students’ academic performance and provide feedback professionally. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of individual student; from meeting the on leveled math concepts to challenging their critical thinking skills.
Openly communicate with students and parents on a daily basis to improve teaching and learning.
Participate in staff meetings, conferences, and work collaboratively with the team.
